Marlene 1930s

Introducing Marlene. She’s feminine, fun and bold.

Named after Marlene Dietrich, the German 1930s icon, this ring is aptly designed and crafted by Kati, our Goldsmith.

The 1930s represented a change in the role of femininity, where suits and top hats made the cut of fashion. Hollywood glamour reached a new peak with stars donning bold, vibrant pieces.

This platinum and diamond ring with a 0.61ct centre stone surrounded by 50 diamonds, was inspired by an art deco geometric style. It is opulent, snappy and enhanced by the patterns of stain glass windows on the inside of the band.

Taranaki in the 30s: The Great Depression fostered a spirit of ingenuity in New Zealand and the arrival of cinema and radio provided a dose of much needed entertainment and glamour.
